The Lassiter Chorus is proud to provide exceptional musical experiences for more than 180 student singers each year. While every student is expected to pay $150 in annual chorus dues, those dues only cover a portion of what it truly costs to operate a high-quality choral program.
The Lassiter Chorus Booster Association (LCBA) exists to bridge that gap.
Thanks to the generosity of our chorus families, LCBA helps ensure that every student has access to outstanding musical opportunities, regardless of financial circumstances. If financial hardship is a concern, please know that no student will ever be denied participation because of an inability to pay. We are committed to working with every family to ensure that all students can fully participate in the Lassiter Chorus experience.

The beginning of the school year is a busy time for every family, so we've created convenient membership options—including flexible monthly payment plans—to help spread out costs and simplify the process. Families new to the Lassiter Chorus can save even more time by choosing one of our bundled packages, which combine many of the items most students need into a single purchase. In addition to the convenience, each package includes valuable benefits, such as reserved concert seating, and provides an easy way to support the Lassiter Chorus at the level that works best for your family.
Where Does Your Money Go?
Every dollar invested in LCBA goes right back into creating exceptional experiences for our students.
Sheet Music
Every concert begins with the music itself. We perform new pieces every year. Unlike textbooks that can be reused for years, every choir member needs their own legal copy of every piece we perform.
Most choral music costs between $2.25 and $3.75 per copy. With more than 180 students in our program, purchasing just one piece of music costs between $400 and $675.
Now consider that each choir performs multiple selections throughout the year for concerts, Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE), honor choir performances, festivals, and special events. Music purchases alone total approximately $4,000 each year, allowing our students to perform a diverse and challenging repertoire.
Performing with Professional Musicians
One of the things that sets the Lassiter Chorus apart is the opportunity for students to rehearse and perform alongside professional musicians.
LCBA funds:
- A professional collaborative pianist throughout the concert season
- A live rock band for our Spring Concert
- Guest artists, clinicians, adjudicators, and master teachers who work directly with our students
These experiences provide a level of musical excellence that simply would not be possible without booster support.
Creating Meaningful Performance Opportunities
Performing is one of the most rewarding parts of being in chorus.
LCBA helps make these experiences possible by supporting:
- LGPE registration fees
- All-State Chorus 2nd audition expenses
- Transportation to performances and special events
